The process is pretty easy, thanks to a wonderful lady who showed me the ropes a few years ago!

1 cup of tanning salt + 1 cup of Allum + 4 litres of water for 8-10 skins, soak for 7 days stirring 2/3 times a day.

I used a Rubbermaid bin for soaking.

On day 6 & 7 I begin pulling the “membrane” off which can be difficult depending on the hide.

Once they are all done add another mixture of the tanning solution to the same solution & soak for another 6/7 days.

Then pull out, begin drying & stretching the skins until soft & supple!
